Loud Shirt is a brewery and taproom in Brighton, East Sussex. Loud Shirt’s ethos is to produce innovative craft beers based on the American brewing style, with consistency and quality at the heart of everything they do.
Loud Shirt is built on a foundation of four core beers, led by the brewery’s flagship brew: Hazed & Confused – a sessionable New England IPA – and featuring a continually-developing experimental (EXP) line, allowing small-batch innovation.
The Loud Shirt Taproom is an exciting new bar and event space, allowing consumers to experience the beer at its very best, mere metres from where it was brewed. Alongside eight beer lines featuring the core line, guests beers and collaboration brews; The Taproom is also licensed to sell wines, cocktails and spirits.
Co-owner and head brewer, Elias, began his craft beer journey in 2002, as a home brewer in New York City. Nineteen years later, in May 2021, he took over the original Loud Shirt brewery in Brighton, and spent the next 15 months rebuilding the brand and its brews from the ground up; with new recipes, upgraded methods, equipment expansion, and a fresh rebranding; and relaunched the traditional cask brewery in the American craft beer style.
