For a really authentic Brighton beer experience, you can’t beat one of our brewery tours. Yes, we have got a small brewery that you can walk around in a few minutes but our tours involve so much more than that. Learn all about how we make our beer from the people who brew it. Relax listening to some great tunes while you try our beer matched with meats and cheeses. Choose your favourite beer to either take away with you or enjoy on the premises. Brewery tours take around two hours and we hold them from 2pm to 4pm on Saturdays from March to October.
Learn All About Beer Brewing
Loud Shirt Beer founders Mike and/or Martyn will talk you through how we got started brewing beer before opening their very own brewery. We explain the whole beer brewing process from start to finish including which ingredients they use – plus a chance to have a look or sniff of those ingredients in their raw form – and how they choose them. Working their way around the brewery, we’ll show you how we use all the equipment and explain how the beer moves from phase to phase and how it ends up in either a bottle, can, cask or keg. If there’s anything you wanted to know about brewing beer, you can ask us any questions you like.
Have a Taste Sensation
In between this education in beer brewing, you will get the chance to try six different Loud Shirt beers in very generous measures paired with locally sourced meats and cheeses. The majority of our cheeses are produced in Sussex with vegan options available. Our meats come from the Great British Charcuterie based on Brighton Marina. They supply British versions of continental meats. Our beers range from a light citrusy pale ale to a rich smoky stout and paired with these lovely meats and cheeses, it’s the ultimate craft ale and foody experience.
Make an Occasion Out of It
Although lots of the brewery tours we conduct are for groups of people who just love good beer, we also have a large number of special occasion tours. We are a popular choice for stag/hen nights as our tours are a great start to a boozy celebration. Holiday makers or people on business trips also like our tours as part of a very British/Brighton experience (we recently did a tour for 30 Norwegian solicitors here on a business trip and they loved it). Similarly, English language students and other international students like our brewery tours as an authentic taste of the UK. It sounds slightly odd, but we also take a lot of tours for people involved in sporting events and recently hosted a group of cyclists who had just completed the London to Brighton bike ride. In other words, all sorts of people come on our brewery tours for all kinds of reasons.
We can run brewery tours for all different sizes of groups, but we tend to find that the more the merrier. Everyone gets the same measures of beer regardless! Whether you want to celebrate a birthday or special occasion, treat staff to a boozy team outing, give some language students a taste of Britain or just want to indulge in some great tasting beer, cheese and meat, our brewery tours are a great option.
